'Update on Gina, the shy Rhodesian ridgeback mix girl: She is coming along! Originally living in a dog-hoarding situation, she is shy and lacks experience. Now in foster with two big dogs (male, female), she is emerging as loving, amiable, full of fun (and humor), and of great resilience. Once comfortable, she actively pursues affection and play with both people and dogs (cats are an uncertainty). And though new things can still startle her, she bounces back more quickly each time.<br><br>&nbsp;Three-year-old Gina (?Gigi?) is smaller and more compact than a typical ridgeback, but she has that beautiful coppery-colored fur with eyes to match (eyes that can melt you). Working on her confidence around the dog door, she is good in the house but loves romping outside and going for walks where she scouts squirrels and is fascinated by everything. Her innocence makes her delightful.<br><br>&nbsp;Gina MUST have a dog companion in her new household; dogs give her confidence to be the dog she can be. She also needs people with patience.
